World conflicts continue to intensify and we have to ask ourselves: which candidate is equipped to not only reinvigorate the economy for individuals and families (vs. just for Wall Street), but who can defuse and manage growing tensions around the world? Here’s the round up I’m watching right now:
International Olympic Committee Apology?
I never thought this would happen – but keep in mind, this is a business (as Mark Cuban has correctly pointed out for the last couple of decades). The IOC doesn’t really care about social issues, they just want to sell as much much and media air time as possible. When they realized they would lose 2.4B people, they quickly issued an apology.
Ergodan Threatens Israel
Erdogan has threatened to invade Israel in support of the Palestinians. He made this statement following a deadly attack on Majdal Shams in the occupied Golan Heights.
- He suggested that Turkey might intervene in Israel similarly to its past interventions in Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh.
- Erdogan emphasized the need for Turkey to remain strong and criticized Israel’s actions in Gaza.
- He stated, “Just as we entered [Nagorno-]Karabakh, just as we entered Libya, we might do the same to them. There is nothing we can’t do. We must only be strong.”
These comments have escalated tensions between Turkey and Israel.
Elon Musk Calls Harris an Extinctionist

Minnesota’s Governor is being mentioned as a possible VP candidate for Kamala Harris
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, a Democrat, has been mentioned as a potential Vice Presidential pick for Kamala Harris. In response to this speculation, Walz stated that it was an “honor” to be considered. However, he avoided answering questions about whether he has received vetting materials.
Walz has been popular among labor unions and is seen as a strong contender to join Harris on the Democratic ticket. Despite the speculation, Walz has remained focused on his duties as governor, stating that he would do “what’s in the best interest of the country” if offered the position.
The Democratic National Committee has indicated that they would like a decision on the Vice Presidential pick by August 7. Other potential candidates for the VP position include Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
In my view, this selection would take the Democrat presidential ticket, combining what will be politicians from two of the top 3 most liberal states in the nation.
